Balfour Anscomb Wheelhouse
Balfour & District Business & Historic Association
Museum; Anscomb ferry heritage
Step back into your youth and visit the old wheelhouse of the long-gone Anscomb ferry of 1947. Located in the rest area of the Western terminus of the Kootenay Lake ferries, you can go into the old wheelhouse and relive those old trips across the lake. An interpreter will be on hand to answer your every question. Have your picture taken behind the wheel and leave your comments and memories in our guest book. Washrooms available and free ferries to ride. Please do not park in the ferry traffic lanes.
