Columbia Basin Culture Tour

Brian Moisey

Environmental; Abstract; Colourful; Paintings

This August I will be debuting a new show called "What the Frack?" Stop by the Crescent Valley Hall and view this thought-provoking series about what our world might look like for future generations if we don't treat our planet with respect. I will be debuting a group of unusual and non-conforming paintings depicting global warming, environmental and social issues. These large mixed-media pieces are full of bright colours, odd shapes, imaginary places, and are a mix of semi-realistic and abstract art.

I live in Winlaw, BC and have been painting for 10 years. My favourite art medium is acrylic paint and fluid acrylics, but I also use watercolour pencil, liquid ink, collage and mixed media to create these bright and unusual pieces. I love to get out the palette knives and lay the paint on thick and bright.
