Columbia Basin Culture Tour

Mirage Studio
Frantisek Strouhal, Chantal Robert

Mixed media; Original artworks; Prints; Gallery

Mirage Studio welcomes you to see gorgeous mixed media artworks in a setting that is peaceful and picturesque.

In my search for the right artistic expression, I found an affinity with methods outside the
prevailing conventions in combining 19th-century styles with 21st-century art and craft.

My unique technique, as a mixed media artist, is created from photography, digital collage, contact printing and lithography inks on watercolour papers. I learned from books dating from 1850 and because of this I had to reinvent the whole process to fit the materials and chemicals of our century.

The human form has always been essential to my artwork. It is the most universal symbol of beauty that stirs and satisfies my mind and heart. Through it I love to explore thoughts and inspirations of an existential nature and investigate the interaction and harmony between the spiritual and the physical world.
