HANK - Heritage and Arts in the North Kootenay
North Kootenay Lake Arts and Heritage Council

Visual arts; Crafts; Traditional dance; Heritage

HANK…Heritage and Arts in the North Kootenay…is pleased to present the works of eight North Kootenay Lake artists, artisans, and heritage dance callers. You'll find painting, photography, pottery and woodturning, both for viewing and for purchase.

You also have a chance to dance! (No experience needed. If you can walk, you can do these dances.) Join us at 2 pm on Saturday, August 12 for a session of contra dance, called by Stephanie Judy, and at 2 pm on Sunday, August 13, for English country dance, called by David Cheatley.

While you're here, explore St. Andrew's United Church, which is one of the oldest continuously operating churches in BC. The simple white Gothic structure was constructed in 1893, and features a spire-topped belfry, the original pot-bellied stove, and wall displays about Kaslo history and heritage.
