JB Fletcher Restoration Society
Heritage store; c. 1896; artifacts
JB Fletcher General store is a historical building from 1896. The Society was formed in 1986 to protect and preserve the original building for future generations. The store opened its doors to the public as a museum and restoration site in 1987 and continues to be an information centre as well as an educational experience. We also show local artists' work: soap makers, painters and photographers etc. Our staff is knowledgable about the area and its amenities.
The JB Fletcher General store is a step back into history. It houses the store's original fixtures and has many artifacts from years of collecting. The Fletcher Family sold the building to Heritage Trust BC to be opened to the public and provide a look at the past.
