Handmade books; Collages; Poetry
Linda Crosfield is a poet, editor, book and collage artist, blogger and publisher who produces limited edition books. She has published eight collections of memoir writing for a Lifewriters' group at Castle Wood Village and made the guest book for the Mir Centre for Peace. Her poems appear in several journals and anthologies. In 2012 she was featured poet in The New Orphic Review. In 2013 she read at Nelson's Elephant Mountain Literary Festival, one of her poems became a miniature accordion book by UpDown Press and Bindery in Baltimore and another was published by Leaf Press. In 2015 she participated in Rocking the Page where she presented poetry both online and in schools. She has published poetry chapbooks for George Bowering, Stuart Ross and others. On the tour she will have examples of books she's made and will demonstrate a quick and easy way to sew a book together. Talk to her about the annual August postcard poem exchange she's participated in since 2007. Copies of some of her poetry chapbooks will be available for purchase, as well as unlined journals and notebooks for your own sketches or words. She lives and works in Ootischenia.
