I migrate between a loose, painterly brush style and a "topographic" method of painting that uses a different colour wherever the form changes planes and then outlining the colour blocks with black making a very flat graphic work. Many of my paintings are inspired by the abundance of wildlife that I encounter on my daily walks. I am also stimulated by rusty old vehicles, vintage photographs, cowgirls, horses and bold women.
