Come celebrate the inauguration of a new Sculpture Park, on the Vallican Whole Community Centre grounds. Exhibit space is to be available for Sculpture works in a forested setting. Volunteers & workers are now creating pathways and exhibit spaces for the Park's inauguration weekend planned to coincide with the CBC tour, and the 100 Mile Potluck event. Visitors may join-in and even contribute to the food fair and enjoy community spirited events. The Park's inaugural piece "The Exodus Pole", donated by Mr. Jan deBruyn, retired Professor and since prolific Sculptor, is a Milton inspired work created 1996-97. Now in his 90th year, he will highlight the opening of the Park. The new Park has stimulated enthusiasm among many prominent local sculptors such as Denis Klein and John W. McKinnon, with exhaustive resumes found readily by simple Internet name search. Others such as Sculptor Seamus Gray and graduates of KSA also look forward to presenting works at this historic event.
