The ALHS has extensive archive
material that has been collected
for years. This consists of
information on the Upper
Columbia dams, complete with
maps, 400+ interview tapes,
newspapers copied and arranged
in looseleafs in categories for
easy retrieval, finding aids
being entered on computer,
virtual museum work being done
now as well. Milton Parent
started taping the pioneers 12
years before the Historical
Society was formed (25 years
ago) so had a lot of material to
write the 7 publications. He
also copied their priceless
photos and obtained the names of
the people, events and places.
We sell all over the world now
with the advent of the website a
few years back, including
England, France, Australia, New
Zealand and Montenagro.
