The Kootenay Gallery of Art, located in Castlegar, is a public art gallery where rotating exhibitions feature work by regional and national artists. Handcrafted items created by local artists and craftspeople can be purchased in the gift shop. The surrounding acreage is home to a beautiful xeriscape sculpture garden and the Castlegar Communities in Bloom butterfly garden. Location: across from the Castlegar Airport, adjacent to the Doukhobor Discovery Centre. Hours: March-June: Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm June-December: Tuesday - Saturday, Sundays Noon - 4pm Wheelchair Accessible.
