Sharon's paintings are characterized by vibrant colour, painterly texture and expressive line, evoking a sense of atmosphere and emotion. She likes to begin with a coloured ground, which creates a warm glow and unifies the painting. The subject of Lough's recent acrylic paintings on canvas are landscapes and florals. Her detailed oil portraits of people and animals show their warmth and character.
