I was born in the country of Hungary, and have been doing art from and early age. For a short period of time I attended art school in Hungary, and later immigrated to Canada. I took up living in the province of Quebec and studied Commercial Art. My main interest is in painting wildlife and western art. My second love is sketching with coloured pencils. I presently am a member of the Thursday morning painters, in VISAC Gallery in Trail BC. I also belong to the Creston Art Club and the Art council. Also I am a member of the Kootenay 5 and Associates . I am very active in all these, because I love art, and being around people that also appreciate it. I have chosen to live in the West Kootenays where there is so much natural beauty that is a real inspiration. I really hope that you will enjoy my paintings and drawings, as I have enjoyed creating them. -Joe Horvath.
