Please read the following terms
of participation. By completing
the registration process, I
state my understanding and
acceptance of the following
terms on behalf of my
organization
(if applicable)
and
myself:
1. I, or my qualified
representative, must be at my
venue August 14 & 15, 2010 from
10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
2. Education of the public
through explanation, exhibition
or demonstration is a required
element of all participant sites
in this event.
3. Participating venues must
either waive their admission fee
for the duration of the event or
feature a special event, display
or performance that is available
for free to the public.
4. If applying as an art
gallery, I agree to feature the
work of local (Columbia Basin)
artists or craftspeople during
the weekend.
5. Promotion for the Columbia
Basin Culture Tour is a joint
effort between the Columbia
Kootenay Cultural Alliance and
each registrant. At a minimum,
this means I will assist in
promoting my participation in
the event by distributing copies
of the Columbia Basin Culture
Tour Directory in my community
in advance of the event and
displaying the directory at my
location during the event.
6. I will use Columbia Basin
Culture Tour signage for my
venue only and will not give any
signage to those not registered
for the event.
7. I am responsible for the safe
creation, development,
installation and/or presentation
of works and ensuring my
location is safe for the public
to visit. The purchase of any
necessary business licenses or
insurance is my responsibility.
8. Images and written materials
submitted to the Columbia Basin
Culture Tour will be used in
print and online to promote the
event. These materials may also
be sent to local media to
promote the event.
9. I am responsible for all
written agreements, releases,
permissions and waivers with
respect to confidentiality,
privacy, ownership and
copyrights relating to
information or works I am
presenting, exhibiting or
selling and for images and text
materials submitted to be used
for promotion of the event.
10. Cancellations after April
12, 2010 will not be refunded.
Once the cancellation deadline
of April 12 has passed, even if
I cancel my participation in the
event, my listing will not be
removed from the print
directory.
11. I agree not to hold the West
Kootenay Regional Arts Council,
the Columbia Kootenay Cultural
Alliance, the Columbia Basin
Trust, any additional funders or
sponsors, or any of their
members, staff or volunteer
workers liable for any damages,
loss or injury to person or
property sustained by reason of
errors or omission, and/or any
incidents occurring, including
but not limited to: accident,
damage, theft, fire or any other
causes, as a result of
participating in this event.
